We can now begin the building of your apartment in the main tower as well as the pool and gymnasium.
The Level 3 Podium (transfer slab) is another marvel of engineering. It contains 200t of steel reinforcement, 2,000t of concrete and over a kilometre of plumbing pipe work, electrical conduit and post tensioning cabling.
Since completing the Ground Floor 7 weeks ago there has been a massive amount happening on-site. Levels 1 & 2 have been completed with level 3 to be finalised early next week. Both basement levels (B1 & B2) have now been stripped of all formwork, with lights and services installed on B2.
Now that we're heading up, we've begun installing the buildings fire stairs. We have these fabricated off-site by our integrated partner Hunter Structural Steel, which provides us great efficiencies in building time, installation, and safety for our teams.
If you're in and around Newcastle, you may have noticed some of the buildings design features are now visible from Hunter Street. Several of the custom designed precast panels that will feature in the building's lobby have now been installed.
