Centrale consists of 39 apartments across 4 levels, plus a fantastic rooftop entertaining space, which was completed in just under 12 months. Located on the corner of Brunker Road and Awaba Road Broadmeadow, Centrale’s completed façade is representative of the modern changes occurring throughout the Adamstown Renewal Corridor.
Utilising the vertically integrated companies within the Hunter Group, our team achieved structural top out in May 2018, with Final Occupation Certificate being granted in November 2018 and settlements now underway.
With four businesses from the Hunter Group on board for the project, it required a true team effort to be complete in under 12 months. The project team seamlessly coordinated the site which at the peak of construction saw 70 team members on site together, working side by side to ensure the project was complete by Christmas.
On site, the Hunter Install team was driven to get the job done effectively and at pace, to again achieve the high standard set at previous GWH developments such as Millhorn. The team knocked it out of the park, installing all 261 Hunter Precast panels to top out the rooftop structure in just four months.
Also, in the mix at Centrale was Hunter Structural Steel and Frontline Aluminium. In total, 17 tonnes of structural steel was used in the roof structure from Hunter Structural Steel and Frontline Aluminium supplied each apartment’s terrace/ balcony doors frames.
Within the local area, Centrale is the first development of this size to reach completion since Newcastle City Council’s announcement of the ‘Adamstown Renewal Corridor’ plan. This is something GWH is proud to boast for its purchasers and the local community.
