Macquarie Tower Reaches Level 10!
Since our last update, significant progress has been made at Macquarie Tower, with five more levels poured. We’re excited to announce that we’ve now reached Level 10, a major milestone that brings us well into the residential areas of the tower.
As we move into the residential levels, a sense of accomplishment has swept through the site. Macquarie Tower was designed with residents at the heart of the project, and this phase marks the realisation of that vision. Additionally, the introduction of retail and commercial spaces, including a childcare facility, will cater to the wider Charlestown community—an added bonus for local residents.
For an update on all the progress, hear from Project Manager Michael May.
Activity is bustling on every level of the building:
The site is a hive of activity with a myriad of trades working tirelessly. From the structural team, form workers, and concreters to the final finishing teams handling door hanging, painting, tiling, joinery, and partition installation, every trade contributes to the swift progress on site.
To date, we’ve used over 5,000 cubic meters of concrete, delivered in approximately 793 truck movements, and installed an average of 65 precast panels per floor. Hunter Readymixed Concrete has been a key partner in ensuring a steady supply of materials.
