Highpoint starts fitting out

During 2019 we have shared many photos and updates that feature concrete and steel and rightly so. Up until the end of May, the building of Highpoint has incorporated approximately 6,150 tonne of poured concrete from Hunter Ready Mixed Concrete and 300 structural panels from Hunter Precast! However, there is so much more to it than concrete and steel! 

Looking at where we sit in our development timeline, we are nearing the end of the structural items like steel and concrete and approaching the period of internal fit outs, finishes and fixtures; crafting the details of the soon to be homes of Highpoint.

In May we commenced ‘fit-out’. ‘Fit out’ of the internal structural elements starts with the framing for internal walls. Once framing is complete ‘roughing in’ of services takes place. For this our GWH site management team brings in trades that will ensure all services are built in, ready for final connection later in the build. Electrical, plumbing, mechanical - think air-conditioning systems and fire protection systems are now all underway with installation. Once services are finalised on each level gyprocking of the walls is completed.

Pushing ahead our fit-out teams reached the end of May with level 1 being all but ready to commence gyprock installation, the final piece of the internal fit-out process.
