October has been a milestone month for the Darby Plaza team. The final roof slab has been poured and the last precast panels installed, the structural build is now complete!
Together with our integrated companies Hunter Install, Hunter Precast, Hunter Structural Steel, Hunter Windows and our Preferred Partners we celebrated the achievement with a topping out ceremony on Tuesday 26th October 2021.
It’s not all about the top-out though, there is plenty happening across the site;
On the lower and ground levels, the brick work façade is complete with windows and doors now being installed. The End-Of-Trip facilities are really taking shape with all tiling now finished. Most importantly the buildings substation has been installed in the public domain, ready for the main power connection.
Across the office levels each floor is in various stages. Across Levels 3 & 4 windows are being fitted, with framing and services installation and aircon ducting nearing completion. Levels 5 to 7 are in various stages of having formwork removed and framing and services roughed in.
The end of November will be a big one for the Newcastle community with the Hunter Street scaffold coming down, revealing for the first time Newcastle’s newest A-Grade commercial building.
